ok, I fixed it
just had to change the variable:

in the configuration file to:
not sure why that made the difference /shrug


- player levels still not showing up, will keep looking into it

Looking at the index.php file:
it seems for where 'level' is supposed to be, it doesn't call anything from the DB, it just has "unknown" in its place.
If I knew how to fix it, I would (sorry)

Changed localhost to 127.0.0.1 by default so it works in vista too, thanks for that!

Also tried to fix the level bug, test it now.

damn, i put in my mysql password and shit, but when i try reach page it says still:
Can´t connect to MySql!
Access denied for user 'ODBC'@'localhost' (using password: NO) 1045

Seems like you don't have a password for your MySQL server. Try to remove it from the config file and see if it works.

doesnt work, i have filled in my mysql password too but doesnt work :S

btw, it should work with vista and xampp right? because i had sites with xampp before

Also tried to fix the level bug, test it now.

player's level show up as '100' now, no matter what level (tried a few different characters).

This is very nice. I assume it has all of those escape characters that are needed to prvent people form creating GM accounts rite? Question? Can i put all of these in a folder in my wamp and then have them go to my webaddress then /wotlk or something like that and it will point them to this registration page? I guess my question is can you have more then one account creation page in the same waamp directoy.

Yes, just use different folders like:

www/ascentreg
www/mangosreg

Oh and is there a way to restrict how many accounts can be created per IP? I didnt see any in the readme

I don't know about the security as I'm not the creator of this but yes I think so..

And yeah, there is an option for that. Check configuration.conf, where it says:

lock_reg="3";

0 for unlimited
