how do i execute the update and where do i find ascent/openascent svn
you make it sound simple, but no one knows what you talking about.
cant you execute it, zip it,and post it here ?

you get the ascent svn
open it and get the folder named sql
execute all the sql updates with a number bigger than 4169 into the right database
job done


I am not doing these things myself as I don't own any database or server software, nor do I want to. I don't want to have to download a load of stuff just to update the database when you can do it.

solved the handshaking problem using ascent r4151 and some of the sql updates you wrote about.

still have some problem in the game now, but i can login to the game now with the 2.41 path installed.

Im on 1.4.2 and i am using the repack and getting handshaking and i tried the RapidShare: 1-Click Webhosting link one and i get authentication failed

What can i do

what is the svn to download the repack?

Well the ac repack is a different format i have tried this database with

*Chrispies Repack of Sunwell
*2d's Repack of sunwell
*Acweb latest
Apple Repack 2.4.x

none of em seem to work

the repack DON´T work with 2.4.1 2.4.2

the creator wants you to understand the .config files, makes you take out three things from world, and the reason its not working w/ 2.4 is because in Ascent-logonserver.cofig change:

<Client MinBuild = "6739"
MaxBuild = "6739">

to:

<Client MinBuild = "6739"
MaxBuild ="9999">

nope it wont help that you change to 9999. you need a new acent build an update the DB with some sqls, and trust me nothing work aften doing that.

but good luck with it, you will never get this repack to work with 2.4.2

Any way to fix this? I used the ascent rev included in your repack.
