    Why i made this:

    Some of you may have played Zaicopx repack
    IMO it was the best blizzlike repack, aside from some changes (e.g. the config file was tweaked). Problem is that it`s currently abandoned.
    I made this repack to substitute it for people like me who just want to play blizzlike WoW with a up to date core and MySQL.
    Aside from some configurations related to Playerbots, directories and update threads, most of the worldserver.conf is unchanged from default.

    Installation steps:
    1. Download either the full repack WITHOUT individual progression + update (if any) OR the full repack WITH individual progression + update (if any)
    2. Download the data files (if you're using any repack made 2023 and up you probably already have those files inside your data folder)
    3. Download a 3.3.5a client (I recommend either this HD client (is what i use) or Chromiecraft client)
    4. Unzip the repack somewhere
    5. Unzip the update into the repack folder, replace everything
    6. Unzip data files into the repack folder
    7. Inside that folder, run "Start Server.bat" file
    8. Wait 30-60s until the worldserver finishes
    9. CTRL + C on the worldserver window to close it (you only need to do this the first time)
    10. Re-run the world server
    11. Wait 30-60s until the worldserver finishes
    12. Create a account and set the privileges (see FAQ entry below on how to do this)
    13. Inside your client folder, search for config.wtf and realmlist.wtf and edit them using something like notepad++
    14. (config.wtf) in SET realmList line, set it to: SET realmList "127.0.0.1"
    15. (realmlist.wtf) replace whole file with "set realmlist 127.0.0.1" without quotes.
    16. Run your WoW client and login into your account


    How to close the server:
    In worldserver.exe press ctrl+c once and wait for the window to close
    In authserver.exe press ctrl+c once and wait for the window to close
    In mysql console press ctrl+c 2 times
    Do this so that your database is not corrupted.




    FAQ:

    How often do you plan on updating this?
    Once every 3-6 weeks.


    What is individual progression?
    Please read their page for details.


    How to create a account?
    run this command in the worldserver window:

    Will create a account named "Test" with the "test" password


    How to become GM?

    How to disable playerbots?
    configs\modules\playerbots.conf

    AiPlayerbot.Enabled = 0

    How to increase/decrease playerbot count?
    configs\modules\playerbots.conf

    AiPlayerbot.MinRandomBots = 600
    AiPlayerbot.MaxRandomBots = 800
    Set it to whatever you want, but beware that the more bots = more RAM and cpu power is needed.



    The server is using too much of my CPU. How do i fix this?
    configs\worldserver.conf

    MapUpdate.Threads = 4
    Set it to 1-5. Recommended minimum is 2.



    The authserver and worldserver close down at startup and leave no logs!
    Update your VC redistributables.




    I cannot access TBC or WotLK content in the individual progression repack!
    Install the latest update.
    If that doesn`t work, it`s because you character progression level is too low to access those.
    You can either:
    open IndividualProgression.conf

    set that to 13 to start at the beggining of WoTLK or 18 to start at patch 3.3.5 (Ruby Sanctum)

    or open the database using HeidiSQL and edit acore_characters/character_settings
    and set mod-individual-progression to 13-18 for your character ID.

    Why no Eluna?
    Eluna forces the server to run in a single core which is bad for Playerbot performance. Without it the server will use whatever number you set inMapUpdate.Threads.


    Why use AHBot instead of Auctionator?
    Auctionator causes the server to crash when used in conjunction with playerbots. Maybe it will be fixed in the future.


    Why every time i pick up a gray item from a corpse the item vanishes?
    This is because this repack uses the module junk-to-gold, which automatically sells any gray items picked up by the player or bots. This is useful in cleaning up bot`s inventory which clogs up over time. You can disable/enable that by editing mod-junk-to-gold.conf.


    I'm getting issues related to the RDF (e.g. WoW expansion not being detected)
    in individualProgression.conf:

    I'm getting issues related to bots not being able to enter a dungeon/raid in the individual progression repack!
    in individualProgression.conf:

    in playerbots.conf, add these quest IDs to the option AiPlayerbot.RandomBotQuestIds:

    Those IDs are for the quests:

    The Pit of Saron

    I'm getting other issues related to playerbots!
    You have better luck asking in the playerbot discord. Do no mention the use of any repack, or they will refuse to help you.

    I'm glad to see that you continue to mod such an old game and help many players immerse themselves in WoW. I've spent some time on your build with individual progression. As I have experience in core compilation and modding myself, I noticed certain nuances in your builds.

    If you are using the individual progression mod, the following options must be enabled in the worldserver.conf file:

    EnablePlayerSettings = 1

    DBC.EnforceItemAttributes = 0

    These parameters allow the specific settings of the expansion you are playing in to be applied to your character (items with stats from that expansion, restored removed items and quests, etc.).

    Additionally, your server databases must be patched, and the necessary files added to the client. If this is not done, everything will work very poorly ("crashy"/unstable).

    Therefore, I believe that if you release a server with this mod, it should be thoroughly implemented at all levels. You should also provide the missing files required for the mod's proper implementation.

    I am from a CIS country and noticed that your localization databases are incomplete. (I used to have good localization databases and will try to find them and share them with you).

    In the future, I will try to study your server in more detail and provide further feedback.

    In any case, great job on giving many people the opportunity to touch the wonderful world of WoW.

    @Boynextdoor This is very late at this point, but I was going through the worldserver.conf and there is a setting in there to disable the daze mechanic. A module isn't needed for this.

    There's actually a ton of settings in there that might be worth looking at. I've done some fairly extensive customization and it's going pretty well.

    It seems i forgot to include those settings in the worldserver file.

    I will not provide any file that is required by individual progression (client side) because those are optional. Also "providing" means creating a copy of them somewhere, which is stupid since they already are in the individual progression github. It's up to the player to decide if they want them or not.

    I wanted to say that someone who doesn't know how any of this works will simply download it as is and try to play. We should leave some kind of instruction or note about what needs to be done or what they should familiarize themselves with. So that the user knows that they need to perform certain additional steps to fully implement the functionality of this mod.

    After playing around with all the personality packs for a bit, I came to realize they might need adjusting and that less is more. In that connection, what would be the safest, cleanest option to remove them from the database?
    Can I simply delete all data in - mod_ollama_chat_personality_templates with HeidiSQL?
    Also in - mod_ollama_chat_personality - I see 50 entries have been assigned to random guid. Does this mean that only 50 bots have personalities?

    And 1 other less related question, I noticed my mod_ollama_chat_history has a lot of entries and is 4mb in size. Can I safely delete them without breaking anything?

    I understand. But you made it look like you were demanding that i provide the files. Which i won't do. Anyway i added a new line in the installation instructions for this.

    First, congratulations on the great work you do, Aldebaraan. The repack is really top!!!

    In the new version, there is a bug with the shaman playerbots—they neither heal nor deal damage. They get stuck in a bug and only auto-cast 'call of the elements.' They are reviewing the bug, and I believe we will have the fix for the shaman class very soon.
