You may lose some of the changes you made in the database (items, itemset and creature templates) if the update files modify those records, so you may need to document the changes you made and check if the update modified them. You will not lose anything you ADDED (not modified a existing entry, e.g. a new item or npc).
hey thanks alot for the reply looking more closely its older then i thought worldserver is saying it was last modified on 12-31-24 so its this rev. 36ac083 2024-12-31 is this still the case imagine nothing has changed dbc wise and everything I've added to the db uses new entrys haven't touched existing im thinking i need to just do a sql table export formatted in a way that doesnt update existing records only adds the new ones?
sorry for the many questions lol still learning
thanks

Hello! I'm running the latest update of the individual progression server. Ony 40 is not runnnig correctly as it is still the Wotlk version. I found the fix here, however I'm not the most tech savvy person and have no clue how to implement it. [Issue] Solve entrance to Onyxia 40 . Issue #359 . ZhengPeiRu21/mod-individual-progression . Sometimes i have this message in my log auth and world serv when i try " Updating Auth database...
Duplicate filename "source/azerothCore/data/sql/custom/db_auth/updates/mod_ahbot_account.sql" occurred. Because updates are ordered by their filenames, every name needs to be unique! "
Delete the "source/azerothCore/data/sql/custom/db_auth/updates/mod_ahbot_account.sql" file. For some unknown reason your computer got two of those, which shouldn't happen. I just tested a fresh 11/02 repack with the last update and there's only one, and the server starts without errors.

Yes. But these records must be new things you added. Modified entries need to be UPDATE query.
Btw since your version is older than 11/02 you will need to use git to clone the azerothcore repository and get the all the update files made between december and now. Otherwise the update will not work. Or transfer your characters to the 11/02 repack.

The fix was made 3 weeks ago which means it is included in the latest update. You need the Drakefire Amulet to enter the dungeon.

Make sure to delete all instances of that sql file inside the source folder. You can find a copy of it in the full repack in the first post. Then place it inside "source/azerothCore/data/sql/custom/db_auth/updates". If that doesn't work it's because you are probably using a version of the repack older than 11/02.

Having a strange issue hoping someone has seen (and fixed). Recently, I notice that with the playerbot module activated with ~2000-2500 bots, there is a nasty in-game realm lag - anything you do on your toon takes about ~1 second between input and action. If I disable the playerbot module there are no issues. The weird part is that it doesn't always do this, but it's often enough to be a PITA. Server specs are Ryzen 5 Pro 8-core CPU with 16GB DDR4 and dedicated 2nd SSD to run the emulation in Win11 Pro, was running 2500 bots a few months back with zero issues so not sure if it's a newer bot update or something else. Windows Updates are disabled, no other unwanted tasks running in background, etc. This is a dedicated LAN server that runs 24/7. Thanks for any info.
Edit: Lag is definitely due to the number of bots on the server, as I lowered it to 1000 and the lag is now minimal (but still present). Really odd since this system is proven to be more than adequate to run thousands of bots.

Check the diff. You can do this by typing ".server info" or waiting 5m for the server to display this. The most important is the 95, 99 and max diffs. Anything below 100 is good, 100-150 is ok, 150-200 you start to notice lag and anything over 200 is unplayable.
You can also try to increase the map update threads in worldserver conf to 5-8.

Thanks, everything appears to be good (currently):
AzerothCore rev. 4d6399eefea5 2025-06-21 02:02:19 -0300 (Playerbot branch) (Win64, RelWithDebInfo, Static)
Connected players: 0. Characters in world: 1000.
Connection peak: 1.
Server uptime: 1 hour(s) 23 minute(s) 38 second(s)
Update time diff: 6ms. Last 500 diffs summary:
|- Mean: 12ms
|- Median: 9ms
|- Percentiles (95, 99, max): 21ms, 29ms, 36ms
AC>
Next time I increase the bot count and see the lag, I will go and take another look. Right now after a server reboot it is running perfectly with zero lag & 1000 bots.

That means that you didn't set your account as GM, which is needed for GM commands.
