hosting server from few different pcs

Hello people , can anyone tell me , is it possible to host the same server from 2 pcs . What i mean is : I would give my friend access to my DB , and would he be able to host MY server when im off or away ? please answer someone

Yes its possible, but he will only be apple to connect to your database, then your pc is up.

Yes, if your PC is not up it is not possible for him to connect to your database or anything associated with your IP address!

yes im shure i did that with db and server and it laged 20% more

well , if it will lag 20 percent more , then the server will be able to handle 200-400 players without lag if its not a problem , can anyone show me the rows that i need to change ?

the only way he could host it is if you change the ip address located to your server dns e.g. myserver.ath.cx to his ip and he had ascent configed the same also

so he only needs to change the ip in realms.conf ?
