how many players will my server hold ?

Hello people , can someone tell me , how many players could my server hold without lag ? Speedtest.net - The Global Broadband Speed Test shows that my download speed is 2975 kb/s and upload 2898 kb/s . Please answer me , i want to know , shall i continue working on making my server public , or just quit it

i hope you mean 1Gb or ram cuz 1mb would suck xD
anyhow i would say you need 2Gb at least... to have it running...
The server i am on has 4Gb of ram for example
(also you should know how longer ascent is online, the more memory it uses)

I would estimate around 500 people, but I really suggest adding more ram.

I suppose your computer would be able to handle quite alot of people, however it probaly would be laggy, and yes I suggest adding more ram etc to make it much better for your players.

And yes, another point, do keep your server up, if everyones attitude was like that, we would not have private servers, eh?

well 200 with uploading speed but you miss ram ;( so i would say around 100 without laggy
