How to restore charectors

I recently had my server die, causing me to lose my wow server, before it died though I managed to open up navicat and do a dump of the accounts table. Now I got my server running again. Im using ascent, just like before and was wondering how do I reinsert the charectors back into navicat? I have tried exectuing the file, that didn't work. My next step was to just try to copy the file over directly, but the extensions don't match. Can anyone help?

So.......youve dumped the character database or only the character table?
If you dumpeb all character database make a new database and Execute it there. If you dumped only Character Table than execute it and be sure you hit the button "Continue on Errors". It should work

You need to dump the whole database mate, so if you haven't..

to backup accounts + chars you dont need whole database dumped... but well i think he is ****ed too ^^

Thanks, I checked out the other link and it kinda confused me. I went ahead and deleted the ascent logon, created a new one and imported the ascentlogon.sql. So now I see my charectors and stuff in navicat, but when I try to login my accounts gone, am I screwed?
