Emulation Expert Group Requirements!

With this post i wanna make simple rules on how to become emu expert.

1) Only Contributors and up can apply for emu expert other people will be reported and receive a warning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
2) You can only join if you contributed in the emulation section so do not think if you are model edit expert you will automatically be accepted in emu expert group! We will check the contributions you made and we will decide if you are fit for emu expert or not!
3) We will check your activity, just cleaned the emu expert group and there were members that were not active or did not contribute in months! So activity is important!
4) If you do meet all the above then you can apply and if we think you are fit we will interview you by instant messenger or PM, if you fail for this you will not be accepted!

We = Me and Gastricpenguin, since today we are the emu expert group leaders.

What will we ask in the interview?
Emulation knowledge... the difference between various emulators (the most important ones), name some emulators, solve problems in SQL, C++ or LUA...
note: you do not need to be very skilled with SQL and C++ and LUA...

This post is made by me but i will talk to GP and maybe we are going to edit this post with new stuff so keep an eye for this

Extra news: Yes the emu expert group got cleaned up, we kicked a lot of members becuz of inactivity, not being a real emu expert, ....
This cleanup was needed so people that lost their emu expert tag, do not worry you can still apply
I colored 1 very important requirement, now respect it pls, i see too much low rep newbies and leechers applying ><

i guess so... it is an honor to work together with GP ^^
Today we have done a big cleanup that was needed
and well thx i am honored to be leader together with GP of such a great group
btw admins can review emulation group too... if it is really really needed they can always pop in and help

The server runs great if you ask me... and about forum cleanup well expect news about that soon i'll see what i can do

Hey Guys,

Welcome to the EMU Expert group. Anyway I want to let people know that I have set up a few requirements that have to be completed before any one is allowed into the EMU Expert group. This is to be kept out of the regular forums so we dont have a bunch of people doing this stuff, when its ment to be for people who would just do it by themselves with out any kind of direction, Naturally if you will.

1.) reach contributor rank on the forums (some donators would suffice)
2.) Set up a public private server
3.) create own items in database, possibly even upload to mmowned
4.) release a discovery or repack or something that would HELP the emu community as a whole.
5.) has not been a participant in any flame wars, and has not spammed or advertised in the wrong forums.


The 5 requirements to be an EMU Expert, tell me if there needs to be more.

and it should be cuz with all the tools there are lately even the biggest noobs can make full repacks with warpnpc and all...
Items, quests, custom scripts, ... you can make it all with tools lately :-/
That is why it will be harder to get emu expert now, we only want true experts dont we?
Why would we need a unique emulation expert group if half of the members could join just like that? :P
