Level Cap Question.

I have a quick question, in the ascent Conf file (I think) theres an option to change the level cap from 70 to w/e. I want to know:

1. Whats the maxium that the level cap will work?

2. Is it possible to run a server with the highest cap?

3. It says that after 70 the pre-generated stat increases become unstable, is this REALLY unstable like soloing BT, or just too powerful in PvP?

Yes, and if you want to raise it, you need to edit the core. And then youll have to compile your own copy

No, it just means that you may not get the correct stats, or talent points. Or you may lose them all together.

True, to be honest there is no limit. I stupidly put it upto " 100000 " once. Hehe. But the problem with that is as Gastric said, the stats become unstable and so on and only Game Masters can get upto that level unless you edit the ascent core.

yeah I made a dreanei shaman on 255 level cap and i did modify level 255 and all my stats were 1k+

See, i don't think theres any need to edit the core, theres an option to change the cap from 70 to w/e in the ascent.conf. Does this only affect GMs?

No it affects everyone if you edit the gen and reg lvl caps in ascent.conf, if you set both to 255 then everyone can be lvl 255, and so on but yes the stats become unstable but i have no problem with my server with the lvl cap at 100.

If the level cap possibility is infinite, whats a reasonable number to the point that adds new fun to the game without being able to solo BT or something insane?

I perosnal like lvl 80 the best, people love the 10 extra talent points

Makeing your charater over lv255 does crash your client if you press C

Level caps are worthless unless you take the time to do them right. Do what I did- Use Azshara Crater - Make waypoints and LUAs for the NPCs, custom loot, towns, not over or underpowered, place gameobjects, instances, ext.
