Well, since it seems there are more and more questions about dbc editing and all that junk, im going to share my wisdom with you guys. Client side editing is not recommended for private servers that are public and actually have a sum of players. If a file is altered client-side, then it requires a custom patch.mpq. In order for wow to properly load the patch, it needs a model edit fix. In order for a normal player to see the custom content you added client-side, he would also need a patch, and fix. So if you have a server with say 100 people, they would all need your patch and fix, or else their wow will crash constantly.
Secondly, stuff like "adding land" and "changing the sky color" are considered model editing, which we have a forum for. Client side editing (although may be used for some emu purposes) is model editing, and does not belong here.
If you want to pursue some DBC editing, be my guest. Although i may know how to edit client side material, i will not provide assistance for it. If you need help, go to the correct forum.
