Multiple People Connecting to one Database

Hi, me and my friend have a private server and we use SQLyog to edit the database. I was wondering if anyone knows how I can connect to the database so I can edit it myself? He has the server at his house and its kind of hard to keep having him do everything.

When you've opened the DB, make a new user, and after the username add a "%", then every IP can connect! But have a good password for this! At least it's like that in Navicta, and I probably didn't explain well enough :/ Hope it works for ya.
