Hey I was following the guide lcoated at: http://www.mmowned.com/forums/ascent...-s-repack.html
and then I ran into a problem while Executing the MySQL Server Instance Configuration. It went to Apply Security settings, waitied a few secs
and then came up with this error:

Cannot connect to Mysql server on localhost (10061) error 2003

Now, after I hit back and tried to Execute it again, it goes to Start Service and gives me an error that says

Cannot create Windows service for root. Error: 0

Somebody please help me, I would really like to start playing my own server! =D

Ok, I fixed Error: 0 error, but now its back at 10061, I'm going to try disabling my firewalls, if anyone else has any suggestions please suggest them =D

Theres this major problem that happened mysteriously..l
No one can use their mounts on my server and they can't use trainers ( like profession trainers and class trainers ).

Some people said it was a core problem, but by core do they mean a different ascent rev ?
I've tried different reversions ( i think ) and same problem accured :S

This is probably about the only major problem that has happened to my server and i seriously need help with it!

again, re compile ascent, if you don't know how there are some GREAT guides here on mmowned and you could download one of viter's ascent compiles, do that and move the old config files (and dbc and scipts) into your new ascent folder

I followed DaBaddest's guide on creating a Mangos's server and It was working great...

However, when I try to get to the create you GM account step, I got to
the place I am supposed to, but I get the error

Error: Unable to connect to MySQL server. MySQL reported: Access denied for user '********' (using password: ****).

any ideas?

Hello, here is a good one. Why can't you reach higher level then 70 anymore? It only sais 'A level (numeric) is required to be specified after this command.'

Because it's been coded that way, so you cant go over 70 without changing more of the core.

You used to be able to type whatever you want in there, but it's restricted now.

Has anyone found a way to increase the level cap above 70? I know people are capable of tapping into the core itself, but I'm afraid I am not..and would love to know how..for i have another problem and thats my gameobjects disappearing as well....moved too much stuff to the core rather than being left in the conf files

Ok, i know i am a site n00b or whatever, but i just made my new ascent server and i want a friend of mine to play on it with me.

how does he connect to mine?
we changed the relmlist wtf file to my IP and i made his login
but he cant get past the relmlist to play any one help?

They are your ascent.conf and logon.conf, copy and paste them into a post here, inbetween the 'code' tags.

Cuirous in Ascent ive played with a few dif repacks so far but everyone i play about 80% of the kcikass items and in just reg vendors always say "Item Not Found"...

is it just the repacks that suck or is it sumthing more?
