Hi, I've got a router 502T and trying to connect it too a private server mysql and db's will not work need too open up ports in router but the problem is when I open up my router page it doesnt have a port forward tab.. I've got a Belkin wireless F5D7230-4 also hocked up too it, does any1 know how I can add a port forward tab or do this some other way because not really wanting too buy another new router just bought the 502T about 2 mnths ago (cant give more than one rep so +Rep for who ever can help me, thanks.

Hey, this is the site that helped me because I've got a an rg that has tv going through my phone line.. I have to use a VERY specific method to forward, and they have a method for mine. you should try them out. I'm sure thy'll be able to help ya. With instructionals, and pics to show each step, they're the best I've found.

also you will need an account on the database you what to connect to, in sqlyog or navicat find the tab create user and fill in the required information

thnx nano, does any1 know any good guides too use to setup navicat, sqlyog?

Well, there isn't really a need for a guide. Just spend about ten minutes or so looking at the tooltips that navicat has, and you'll get a good enough understanding of it to start using it. Sqlyog on the other hand is semi difficult, and non self explanatory. I use navicat for all my editing, and ONLY sqlyog to build. As do most people.

Also. My friend had almost the same router as you but didint make it work, even with open ports, So i fixed it for him.
If after this above mentioned guide , you still cannot bypass your router, then you use my guide.. to make it work.. worked for my friend

so all you gotta do is this:

=open your Logonserver.conf=

and find the following
-------------------------------------------------------------
Listen Host = "0.0.0.0"
ISHost = "0.0.0.0"
RealmListPort = "3724" <-- change this to 6060
ServerPort = "8093">
-------------------------------------------------------------

now open Realms.conf

and find
------------------------------------------------------------
<LogonServer Address = "your ip here" <---- go to whatsmyip.com and put the ip address of ur pc!
Port = "8093"
Name = "Default Logon"
RealmCount = "1">
-------------------------------------------------------------

Now go open your router. And portforward the range 6060 - 6060
now your port on ur router is open.

Now if you want your friends to connect to you they must change thier realmlist to port 6060

so it should loook like this:

set realmlist yourservername.servegame.org:6060

so all your friends need to add :6060 at the end of thier realmlist.,


Very important...

In realms.conf

yourservername.servegame.org:8129 <>........ DO NOT change that and leave it away it is.


you are now officialy public and you bypassed ur router security.


(if you deal with DynDns i suggest downloading Dyndns Updater available on thier site. )
