Ok you list both a dns entry and a static external ip and the ip seems to be configured in your config file so Ascended's advice is spot on if you wish to use DNS entry in the clients realmlist.wtf file, this is the route I personally would go down

I also found that I needed to put the dns entry into the logonserver.conf also rather than an IP, not sure if you have done this ...you haven't mentioned it.

As far as the box/server is concerned if you have placed the internal ip of the machine into the DMZ option of the router then you should not need to configure any port forwarding or triggering options as all ports are open in this set up. ( sorry if you already know that). Trying to forward ports to a machine in DMZ configuration can screw things up.

You could also try changing the loopback address in the config files ( 127.0.0.1) and try specifying the specific local ip instead, I tend not to use loopback ip as I had problems in the past, since I have changed to specific local ip ( i.e. 192.168..x.x or 10.x.x.x) the server has become a lot more stable.

If you want anything explained in a bit more depth feel free to give me a shout.

which ports did you forward? check to see if they are all forwarded and are correct again..
    it should be
    Code:
    3724
    8085
    80
    3306
    8093
    8192
if you have all of those forwarded go to the dns page and see if you have the correct ip address set for the domain

Not that this will help, but I read somwhere when I was setting up my server that you DONT want to put your PC in the DMZ - why? beats me. To me (IT Guy for 20+ years) putting a pc in the DMZ means the fireall forwards ALL ports (wanted and unwanted) to that pc. However, these little home-based routers all have quirks.

I "used" to be able to host on port 80. had the pc off for a week, cant host port 80 anymore (er.. nobody can connect to port 80 thru my firewall. locally, its fine.)

Yup thats what I have always understood DMZ = outside firewall and I s uppose the only reason they say you dont want to do this is due to the security implications ..can't think of another one really. In saying that I think you may be right about quirks, I suspect some routers are only "virtual DMZ" and actually use some kind of "bulk port forwarding" as I have had similar issues with cheaper routers in the past.
