    [HELP] Interesting Problem.

Hello, I have quite the interesting problem here. I don't have a clue on how to fix it really..

    Server Emu Specs:
As of right now, latest Ascent (Ascent 2.8-TRUNK r2801) & latest NCDB (804.)
    Character Database: 2.3.0

    > ADMIN authenticated from 24.193.192.175:3864 [94ms]
Sql query failed due to [Column count doesn't match value count at row 1], Query
    : [INSERT INTO account_data VALUES(1, '', '', '', '', '', '', '', '', '')]
    Player Mellin logged in.
Anyone know how to fix this?

Hey there stephtorrent, you helped me out once before

Anyhow, I have about 74 accounts, I host a public server and I forced them to re-register a couple of times already..

Anyhow, I don't want to loose their accounts, characters, etc.

Is there a way of transferring the information?

What you can try doing is backing up the 'accounts' and 'characters' tables, dump them onto your desktop.

Make a second database with your new accounts.sql, and import the accounts and characters table into the new DB and see if it works.

Im not sure if it will, I havent tested it, but that should keep the character and accounts information for the people who have registered.

If it doesnt work, perhaps someone else will be able to suggest something else, but then at least you still have your first database to fall back on.

    Best of luck!

I do not think that will work. It will not overwrite and you will probaly get database errors, that is the problem. Hehe.

what i done is dump your sql file of your account and characters tables into your desktop then use the latest character database and see which clumn is different go into your .sql that you dumped and just change that or add a new one or maybe delete the one that is bad... you have to do that 74 times duh or the times needed for your accounts also there is another way using excel that is what i do all the times but im not good explaining that method

Of course it wouldnt overwrite, it would just copy the fields into the new database.

I think Spartan has the right idea, if you can identify the missing field, you can add that to the table so that the structure matches.

I dont have a changelog Im afraid, so it will just be a matter of going through it.

    Actually, stepth, you were right.

I just backed up my "characters" and "accounts" tables into one backup.sql

I then dropped the existing database, and upload your latest version.

Then I clicked on "Restore from SQL Dump" and whala, the characters and accounts automatically got transferred to the new one.

However, there is a problem, all my characters are now basically naked with the exception of shorts.. -_-

Hey steph, those Moonscripts in your post causes a problem for my server.

    Loading External Script Libraries...

    GossipScripts.dll : 0x02730000 : v3.0 : loaded.
    InstanceScripts.dll : 0x02780000 : v3.0 : loaded.
    MoonGossipScripts.dll : 0x027D0000 : v3.0 : loaded.
    MoonInstanceScripts.dll : 0x11810000 : v3.0 : loaded.
    MoonMiscScripts.dll : 0x0FF70000 : v3.0 : loaded.
    MoonSpellHandlers.dll : 0x0FFA0000 : v3.0 : loaded.
    ServerStatusPlugin.dll : 0x00000000 : error!
    SpellHandlers.dll : 0x0FFD0000 : v3.0 : loaded.

    Loaded 7 external libraries.
A popup also appears when its loading "ServerStatusPlugin.dll"

It says: "The procedure entry point ?Allocate@TimedEvent@@SAPAU1@PAXPAVCallbackBase@@IJI@Z could not be located in the dynamic link library ascent.exe"

lol, how, there arent any problems there. They have loaded fine.

If they didnt load you would get 'error!' instead of where it said 'loaded'.

ServerStatusPlugin.dll isnt a moon script tho, it's a default script that comes with ascent.

I get that message sometimes, just means that you need a newer revision of the file.

    Use this one:

Filebeam - Free Fast File Hosting

Ill look at that zip now and see what the problem is.

Rhynix, you made the mistake of updating your core without using the SQL update files. Each revision (NORMALLY) comes with these files. They are pretty much mandatory and will fix any problem. Believe me, you most likely have all of the files needed to fix the naked problem. Look for a SQL that has playeritems in it
