How do I ban someone?

when I type in .banchar (name)
nothing happens, instead, it just says ban char x with or without reason.

how can I get this to work, I really need to ban this guy...

use .banchar [namehere] [type a reason]
or first select the guy and use .play or .playerinfo copy the ip
and type .banip [iphere] [type reason] and with this he cant play on that computer anymore in your server lol

Open your console window and write : banip <they "gays" ip> Tehn you got him

Get there IP Address

Then .addip ipaddress time

Yes, I believe character are not working on the latest versions of ascent.

The above people have it correct, although ip bans are relatively easy to get around.

.player

Their Ip will come up, copy and paste it like this

.addip <Their IP> 10y


This will ban that ip for 10 years and reload the table..

Hope that helped, and in the future I am sure they will get that working. Just have to wait for it for now.

but doing a ip bad doesnt work if the player has broadband probs exspected there ip will change every or every time then connect to the internet. not many broadband users have statc ip so its not worth it
