Quick Hand with setting up Ascent

So, I'm going for my 3'rd shot at setting up an Ascent/Antrix server. I followed Hearleybob's guide and I go to start up my logonserver that works, then I lauch Ascent and it just comes up as a windows error. Anybody care to explain what I can do to fix this? I have SQLYog but I don't know if it's supposed to be open because he doesn't mention it in his tut. but I have tried it before with navicat and that went horribly wrong.

Try updating your Window's XP version. That might solve something. Or download the latest microsoft net framework

It's a brand new computer, just made in the factory early this month. But I'll try updating my framework. New problem now though, the logonserver closes after a few seconds, and ascent gets pretty far into whatever it's doing and gets an error. I followed Ddinek's guide this time and use Navicat instead of SQLyog. Also, before making a second attempt I unistalled MySQL.
