Establishing Custom WoW SVR - Need Crew

Former Do It Right Team (known for development of the first BC database ever, outlands, awesome GM staff on the servers; DIRT, World of Murlocs, MMORPG4Free, Blood n' Honour, and more) members, Ray/Farsun (dev/GM), Andrew (scripter/host/GM) and myself (team leader/dev/GM), has decided to establish a team of developers to create the most popular and best-quality custom WoW private server available. It's a tough job, and we need people who know what they're doing, are able to work under our command, and who has fantasy, originality and first of all tons of ideas for map-, quest-, and game-making. The database will be made from scratch, possibly with map and mod editing. This makes you able to create your own areas, quests, npcs and much more. It will not only be fun to play, it will be fun to develop too.

However, this server will not be open for testing untill it's 20-25% done. It will take months, possibly close to a year to create this, so it's not going to be easy. If you are interested in joining this project, and putting some of your time in it, write a pm. DO NOT REPLY HERE, IT WILL BE REJECTED.

    Requirements:
    • SQL knowledge
    • A fantasy, vision and ideas from the individual. You may get a whole area to edit yourself, so you really need to brainstorm from time to time
    • Good ideas!=Good implementation. You need to be able to WRITE the quest/npc/object/item as well as think of it
    • The ability to work for and with people
    • The ability to discuss with the people you work for, and not just take orders. We need your view on this too
    • A certain maturity and possibly age
    • A little more than just the basic WoW knowledge
    • The will to make this server awesome
    • Time
And it wouldn't hurt if you had some C++, LUA a+ and/or model editing knowledge too.

If you want more information, or you want to be interviewed for the job, pm me. We need about 5-10 people, and this thread is live on a couple of forums, so hurry! And just as a sidenote; if you're just looking for a GM job, don't apply for this. Should we require game masters in the beta testing stages, we shall make a notice about it at that point. You may get GM, but you have to earn it 10 times first.

In your pm, post a bit about yourself, not really an application. We will interview you later, if you sound like someone we can use.
