Server questions and starting points

First off I would like to thank all the emulator experts on this forum and/or in general for their hard work and time spent creating all the tools used in making private and public servers.

Now, my status as of late is that I am a Complete newcomer to WOW server creation....I do have some experience with game world editing,novice scripting and computer software in gereral so my learning of WOW servers should be at a small advantage. I have browsed around the emulator servers forum and I'm finding it a hard choice to decide where to start as their are three main emulators documented here as well as the numerous undocumented(for the most part) others out there.

To the point....

1. Being a noob, what progs/server tools and emulators should I start off with using and learning from as well as limiting myself to as I learn?

2. With this question being related closly to the first, I have read over some of the create your own server guides...now please tell me what are the Pro's/Con's of using the different software and server tools that these guides implement?

3. I have read the sticky about reading over the forum Q's and A's and that learning how to do this by reading posts is the way to go(nodoubt) but I need explicit starting points and just a few explainations on how these progs work, the up and down sides of their usage and which ones are geared more towards being easier to begin with and after reaching the point of improving, which prog's are good for more advanced users?

Well I've managed so far to get AC Web repack 7.1 running.
It seemed the easiest at this point to set up...Well If anyone can please respond to my previous post as all info would be valuable.

1. I would suggest starting off with Mangos, BUT i started by using a Chrispee's repack and it got easy

2. In my personal opinion SQLyog Community Edition is better than Navicat

3. Just follow a one of the Guides like JulianX's

I prefer to start off with Ascent or Antrix, you can find one in the guide areas for those.

1. I'm very partial to Ascent, for getting a blizz like server started up. Mangos is more for a fun server.

2. SQLyog.

3. I had good luck with most of the ascent guides. They all work, pick one and go from there.
