Wheres 127.0.0.1?

Somehow 127.0.0.1 is not working, any clues why anyone?

127.0.0.1 is for a loop-back connection. This means that if you try to connect to 127.0.0.1, you are immediately loopedback to your own machine.

You should have no problems with 127.0.0.1.

your not giving much info but post your confs and possibly more of an idea of your error.

Maybe you have removed it in your host file (i.e. c:\windows\something32 thingy\drivers\etc\host

if you have. add the line 127.0.0.1 localhost

I'm havin the same problem! I use 127.0.0.1 and i can't connect at all.

Ok heres the details so far.

I tried starting up my server today (its run successfully before this) and now i'm getting errors in mangos and the server keeps crashing.

I checked in Navcat and i keep getting this error message.
2003 - Cant Connect to Mysql server on 127.0.0.1 (10061)

So i tried reinstalling the Mysql server but when i get it to "Starting Up Service" i get yet another error message.
The Service could not be started. error: 0

So i go to my command prompt and type:
telnet 127.0.0.1 3306
to see if its connecting to the right port, 3306. But i keep getting this error message:
Connecting to 127.0.0.1.....Could not open connection to host, on port 3306: connection failed

I hope this is a little more detailed and someone can help me figure whats going on.

heres what i was doing before this problem occured, i was attemping a remote connection to someone elses computer thru windows however the connection wouldn't work.

is my error, thus why i cant have my server up... :confused: Try setting or making sure your Realmlist is set too 127.0.0.1 instead of us.logon.worldofwarcraft.com
