Mangos, Antrix and Acent

Hello, i'm quite new to all this with emulators and just wanted to ask if thers any diffrence between Mangos, antrix and Acent..
from what i've experiensed i think mangos is harder than antrix and acent?

anyhow, is there any good or bad parts with them, and whats the diffrence with em?

ascent is one of the best right now so i say that mangos has more bugs and stuff and antrix is kinda the same as ascent but i recommened u use ascent

Agreed.

Mango's is regarded more "Noob Friendly" and is recommend that you try before Ascent/Antrix.

Ascent and Antrix are the same thing, Ascent is jus a newer version of Antrix, If something works on One, It'll work on the other

But still, I would recommend Ascent, Cause it's what I've always used

one big difference between antrix and ascent, is that ascent still gets updates and is constantly being fixed whereas antrix is a dead project as it became ascent, just as banksey stated. i've never used mangos but its pretty popular as well, so i would imagine its decent.

not to mention that i believe there is a different database structure between ascent and mangos.

Yes, it is. But for startes, the Structure of your server's DB isn't the most important thing...

Playing on any antrix/mangos servers, its quite easy to tell that mangos is much better to play with.

The mangos servers i played on had 3+ day uptime. The antrix were lucky to get over 3 hours.

Bug wise, i'd still go with Mangos over antrix/ascent

Mangos is more user friendly as normal members can use some basic .commands like .gmlist.
I use ascent simply because I couldn't find a MaNGOS repack and Julian X has an awesome ascent repack.

The above who say that he's lucky with an 3 hour uptime with Ascent, learn to set it up and compile ascent correct, and it should manage to do a 4 day uptime with ZERO problems. It can handle more I'm sure, but haven't tested more then that, and I'd rather tell the truth the lieing about it.

Where did i say i set up ascent? I'm talking about from the playing perspective.

I'm saying Mangos has been much more reliable from a "playing perspective" compared to all the others.

Yes.. First Try Mangos if it's your first.. As you get more into it..

Antrix or Ascent the way to go.. (unless ur me)
