High experience custom server dev(sql, database, c++, lua, mpq patches and dbc mods)

Hi my name is Selvyre! I currently have 4 years in the WoW emu dev scene and im looking for a server to work on with some other devs to make some bad@$$ s@%t
I can do everything from the bottom of hell to the top of everest and everything in between such as creating new zones and maps, new raids and bosses(well scripted), custom races and mounts/starting zones for them, all sorts of gear and shenanigans, etc etc. I have most recently worked on Heroes-WoW patch-4.mpq and my own server(not released yet) featuring a new continent(IE: northrend but somewhere else) contact me on skype for more info and stuffs

I decompiled it and added to it =P that was pretty poorly written, to figure out how to do some things i had to reverse engineer yours but i swear on god and scouts honor i have never copied your guys' content and made it my own sorry for that misunderstanding

Sorry if I'm a bit off-topic, I don't know much about what private servers can do and how they actually work but I'm surprised to hear you can create things like raid encounters. I'm really curious about how does this work. To me it seems to be both client/server stuff, and I can't imagine it to be just sql table entries, so it means you can create server side scripts for special events (in that case raid boss) ? Is it done with a sort of scripting system ? Is it an accessible thing, or is it only the core developer of wow emulator that are able to do it ?

Being a developer, I have already tried to play a bit with wow servers, mostly modifying databases. But going as far as creating new gameplay sounds pretty awesome. If anyone here knows about this kind of stuff and has the kindness/time to point me to some resource about that or explain me a little, it would be amazing!

Anything is possible with emulation, you just need to know what you are doing, which sadly 99.99% of people do not. You can't just already know how to program and then expect to be able to do a lot in WoW - although it certainly does help. You have to learn the game engine, learn how everything is implemented, learn the structures and formats. You can see some of my stuff here: stoneharryNotBan - YouTube

I'm closing this thread now since the stickied recruitment thread should be used.
