I can understand if you absolutely hate the qualify of how it was made. I also hate it.
But I needed a basic layout of this area for my server, and I figured this would be the easiest way.

It looks awesome o.O Also, on the right is that a horde building surrounded by alliance buildings? The red one looks like a building from Orgrimmar, and the Purple one looks like some from Darnassus.

I used to map emerald dream with that method.

Nah, that's too creative for me. I just went in game took like 30 screenshots and put them all together. You can see the terrible mix of perspectives, and if I used a machinima tool, fog would be off.

Yeah. I'm not sure what Blizzard was going for there when they made it, but I'm assuming that's the alliance base.

with a couple of scripts you can make it functional hehe. can make it like one of the existing ones or add some together like WSG and AB.
