Best Private Server?

Believe it or not, people can not afford to play WoW. There is such a thing called a 3rd world country.

I used to run a Vietnamese blizzlike private server and it was a huge success, and that was because the people there could not afford to play retail.

It's not racist - it's a fact of life, and you do get a lot of people who are in poverty/very poor in America and Europe.

Hell, people on low pay can't even afford it often. What about people who are disabled? etc.

On a side note, any more people who just post a server and say play it, I will count as advertising and delete with a infraction.

Well, i know one more server, that is 1.5 rates, the gms are okey, they are fixing stuff, 3.3.5 patch, 1200+ players daily online, only minus that the server is Lithuanian, meaning all the players are either Poland or Lithuanians. But bigger part of it knows english pretty good, so i think you won't have any problems communicating. SangReal

All in all, i'm recommending you to play on molten-wow. Even if the ques is really long, the server is the best you can find out there. The core is a mix between mangos and trinity, its called moltencore (not the instance).Almost every spell is working blizzlike, like disengage,blink,charge etc. The people are really friendly, and you can experience high end raids/pvp, cause almost everything is working. ICC - Marrowgar,Lady and Deathbringer is working and scripted. They are fixing stuff almost daily, releasing DB updates with fixed quests/corrected items etc. The economy is good, you can make some money like in global, from either JC, or farming materials with mining. If i were you, i'd go to play on the Frostwolf realm (3x, No donations,No vote rewards), simple i don't feel like playing on high rates server, cause everything goes too fast, and the donation gear is just gay :} I rate molten-wow 9/10, 10/10 if they would make the player limit 4000, but that would cause laggs, and they would have to update their pc's. Anyway, sorry for my english, i'm from Lithuanian, it's nor my main, nor secondary language.

I'm Lithuanian and I played there. And it's bad. It just TC2 with no their dev updates, they only uses open source. The comunity is r*****.
But if you are for most blizzlike server, yeah than you can play sangreal or Frostwolf on molten-wow.

well I just don't get if you are so poor how are you able to allocate time playing video games. then again here I am andI could only aford 60$ for food all month duno if that is alot to you or what but its pretty small for me. my room mate say he sped 1000$ a month on food lol wow.

Prices are different in other countries. What might cost $50 here, will cost $5 or $500 there.

You can also become poor very quickly, it can happen overnight. So you might have things you got before you ran into financial issues.

Also buying a computer is a one-term payment generally, and often required for work. WoW is a monthly subscription, and it soon adds up.

i saw this show yesterday some dude won like 50million from the loto like a week later he was 6million in debt was super close to going to prison for pretty long time because of that.

Its free but yea private servers should be fun servers (customs or instant) imo

There is not such thing as 'best wow server' as it all depends on the person whos playing it. e.g. I like to do PvP yet Stoneharry may like to do PvE therefor a PvP real would be useless to him.

Hello,

Please be informed that as of today (14/10/2010) shortly following the hybrid upgrade and AFK kicker (considerably higher active population in-game) Frostwolf has exceeded its monthly traffic allowance (18 terabytes) supported by donations from other realms. Considering high excess traffic costs (and no donation support on the realm) a high compression for traffic has to be utilized. This can have a potential negative impact on latency (lag, not lag spikes) as we continue evaluating the difference in compressed and regular network for the realm. For comparison, Frostwolf alone (following a 10 day early core update) has utilized almost same amount of traffic as other servers altogether.

At the moment we are considering possible solutions to make sure the low rate realm's popularity does not become the cause for its performance degradation and possible population cap limitation. This is a notification post as no definitive solution has been confirmed as we consider the options to resolve this. If you experience a high latency please be informed of the cause and that we are working to come up with a solution as soon as possible.

There looking at paying $300-400 per month per dedi. If they go over there bandwidth allocated, prices start going up very fast and with high interest usually.
