Well in a sense I was and am currently part of WhyDB's team however I grow tired of the lack of updating even though the updates are there. Heck, If you check their forum I almost guarantee you will see FlickR there and my numerous fixes that never get applied.

They (WhyDB) are sitting there waiting to have their egos stroked and that should happen in the privacy of their own home... lol

Starting Sunday (6/20/2010) - Sunday (7/4/2010) DPDB will be starting an event hoping to promote our database some and offer some great rewards.

The Event:

You will have two weeks "Sunday (6/20/2010) - Sunday (7/4/2010)" to post valid Fixes, Bug Reports, and/or chat in our forum or ShoutBox regarding our database. During and after the two week event we will be going through both reports and fixes and tallying them up. On Wednesday (7/7/2010) we will post the 3 winners.

Event Rules:

• Must be a member of our website/database (DPS-WoW / DPDB - 3.3.3 WoW Server & DataBase).
• Must Post Valid Posts, Reports, and/or Fixes or points will be deducted.
• Saying Hi, Hello, general chat, etc. will not be rewarded or deducted in the event regarding the shoutbox.
• Must Post in the English Language.
• Everything must take place in our website (DPS-WoW / DPDB - 3.3.3 WoW Server & DataBase) anywhere else will not be accounted for.
• DP-Founders, DP-Staff, & DP-Moderators are excluded from the event.

Rewards For Winners:

Contributor Status - 1st-5th Place Winners

Members who come in places 1st-5th will be offered contributor status in our server, forum, shoutbox, and database.

Early Changesets - 1st-3rd Place Winners

Members who come in 1st-3rd will be sent early changesets to their email address that they signed up. Changesets will be mailed a couple days before official release. So if you signed in with a fake email please change it ahead of time.

• 1st Place - 4 Early Changesets
• 2nd Place - 2 Early Changesets
• 3rd Place - 1 Early Changeset

Point System:

• ShoutBox Post = 1 Point
• Forum Post = 1 Points
• Valid Bug Reports = 2 Point
• Invalid Bug Reports = -2 Point
• Valid SQL Fixes = 3 Points
• Invalid SQL Fixes = -3 Points
• Valid LUA Fixes = 4 Points
• Invalid LUA Fixes = -4 Points

No, we will deduct points for the inability to read older bug reports already posted. We do not want people to waste our time as I am sure they do not want the same from us.

Sounds like what Hellgawd did with database evolved? where people PAID REAL MONEY to receive the stuff early and who could not wait like a few days.

we are not charging anything except a little input. posting bugs that are bothering you affect our db and in most cases we can fix them by posting them we come aware of them to fix them. that is the purpose of this event to promote our database and get a striving userbase so we can get more things fixed. if there's no reports there is no fixes if ya know what i mean. we have some great trackers but they are not superman and can rotate the world finding every bug out there. So take it how you want it if you want to be apart of a database that actually updates you know where to find us. we are just offering a little bonus who excel over more

FYI for anyone interested. DPDB is now for game version 3.3.5 & I believe the last CS done is 21. Major leaps & bounds of fixes & is the most updated/worked on DB for ArcEMU at this time (Though WhyDB seems to have finally gotten a kick in the pants & is doing some updating, heh).

We are on revision 33 as of 20 minutes ago, Most of ICC and Ruby Spawned and much much more. Our new website is DPS-DB - Official ArcEmu Server & DataBase and you can find our SVN here DPDB - Revision 33: /. Ill update the top in a little bit
