No. You can always patch the MPQ that stores the realmlist, and in the worst case scenario, the client itself can easily be patched. (or hex edited LOL)

You see, private servers always will have a problem because of blizz, this whole PRIV SERVERS GONAN END stuff? its happened 5 times already, emulators evolved and moved passed the problems.

Anyway similar to aion priv server, you can always edit the client itself or a important file in the .mpq's

tldl, its not ending, its gonna evolve again.

From what I see, blizzard is just changing who hosts
the World of Warcraft accounts.
No need to worry. This is only for retail. It won't affect your
WoW folder or anything else in anyway.

The Orginal realmlist is like built in, so i can play Private server, go to login screen without changing a shit, then login with my retail acc...

You know there is a thing in the realmlist file named:

set realmlistbn ""
set portal eu

changing Set Portal makes you not available to log onto b.net

People are aloud to discuss what they think as long as there is no flaming. If blizzard suddenly change it again / another problem occours, then we will have another thread popping up within minutes if this one is closed.
