    Makes no sense.. its aggravating

Hmm well lately I've been having problems. Seem that the rules were changed and websites are no longer considered emulator related which seem a load of crap to me because the website i am realeasing is programmed to work with a certain emulator...

Also almost every post i make gets deleted for double posting... five post down from my original and discussing a completely different kind of situation is in no way a double post..

Then I made my website release in discussion since I can't post it in Releases anymore and it got deleted with no notification whatsoever...for what reason?

I'm clueless as to what to do because Gastric keeps deleting everything I do for stupid reasons...and it pops up in the rules the second he deletes my post for it..when it wasnt't there before.

I really don't want people to have to miss out on the best website ever made because of stupid crap... So what do I have to do to be able to make a contribution for the community.

    Makes no sense.. its aggravating

It was stopped for the same reason as most Lua bosses and repacks. Theres nothing unique about them! Just the same thing again and again only slightly different. Also if you read the rules carefully and use your common sense, stay on topic to the post your on and not post releases in the discussion area I'm sure nothing will be deleted.

I think we should bring websites back though, people need websites to run emulator servers, well at least to run a good one. In fact you need a website to run just about anything nowadays. Clearly obviously mmowned realizes that seeing as how their nothing but a website. Who ever made this bull crap rule should seriously change it back. Without websites we'd be stuck with crappy television and failing reports, websites are a necessity to literally EVERYTHING, well thats what i had to say on the subject and I'll be fully ready to come back where ever necessary to make this statement again if it helps bring websites back.

Have to agree with Mager. Who cares if they all have the same basic features? I've seen many on this site that I dislike, and many that I love. They might have the same features, but they are in turn quite different from each other. I'd rather have 200+ websites to choose from, than 10.

Sounddead, with that comment made i make another comment myself. Not many people realize this but, word is power, just by us going out there and speaking our minds we can all maybe work together and get this no website bull turned around back to the way it was. It might take a little bit but with enough people agreeing i think it will change XD

The reason behing the no websites rule:
When there were more website releases on the front page than ACTUAL emulator releases. You have to realize that websites ARE NOT EMULATORS. Websites are websites, and belong elsewhere. They are not a mandatory item when creating an emulator. We have an html and a php section at the bottom of our forums should you want a website released. However, if you REALLY feel that you want your website out there, include it in an ORIGINAL repack. People were releases horrific websites that didn't work, generally, just to get reputation, and that just ruins it for the rest of you.

Yes but gastric having to go to the other sections for this will probably, cut down the ammount of websites made give us less to choose from, and first off while they arn't technically mandatory, they are of VITAL importance. websites are as involved in emulation as C++ is, will C++ be prohibited too? Face it, websites are one of the most important parts to a server

Performer stold the words right out of my mouth.. yes make a Emulator Server Website section because honestly the first thing people look at (or at least i do) is the Emulator Server Section.. very rarely do i scroll all the way down; and as said websites are vital to emulation
Press ALT+F4 it will save you alot of trouble XD.

First of all, this statement is false. A website is not mandatory for an emulator. And so what if you have to scroll down to get a website. There is already a section made. Websites are websites, they go in 1 section. Not some "Emulator website release" section. That would be highly rhetorical since WEBSITES ARE NOT EMULATORS. A huge amount of websites in the release section are HORRID, IMPROPERLY CODED, and just down right UGLY. We're sorry for any inconvenience, but this is an emulator section. NOT A WEBSITE SECTION.

No we will not make a website release section. HTML and PHP are at the bottom of the forum. If you can't take the extra second to scroll down, then get lost.

w/e were clearly not gonna win this, though gastric has a few good points so do I, but they'll just be ignored.

What you could at least do is inside the HTML and PHP sections just make a section for WoW Emulator Related Websites, that way the people designing other types of websites in the section don't get conflicted with ours. And this is better because now while looking for websites we won't be bothered things such as 'Awesome Repack completely unique, includes the usual stuff'.
