Sorry I have been away for a few weeks in the emu world and even longer on mmowned. I have not yet decided on if i will be joining this "team" as im still not sure fully what it is i will have to talk to ace before i give my word in here.

How do I put it... the WoW emulation scene is the fail of community projects, working together, accomplishing tasks, etc. Sorry but I don't think it would work; All I think that will come out of it is someone(s) being stabbed in the back.

P.S: The pending "Burlex", he said he quit WoW and wasn't going to help out any project in the emulation community.

By all means, I'm not putting your project down but problems do come to mind.
-Donation problems/hosting issues.
-Some developers doing everything while others don't even know the basics.(IE Coolmanbob and some guy who makes sql edits :P).
-Bandwidth ain't free ya know, especially with that many servers even with people chipping in.

It won't work. And from that list of people only burlex is known outside repackers / mmowned.. coolman to some amount but thats it, not to mention that burlex will never join this "project"
And it has many planning issues aswell, there won't be enough people to all the servers, and the server hosters want more money so they start getting players on the other servers from the realmlist etc.
And what about money coming from buying items.. all go to 1 paypal account (imagine the owner of this, he can just take it all and laugh real nice )
or then just everyone has it's own paypal.

And then it would end up fighting over players again.

I can tell you already, something like this will never happen.

- Everything under one Realm list
- Split donations

I doubt there would be any larger community's who would like to share the same realm list as another community. Because each community wants to keep their playerbase for themselves.

I didn't quite understand the part to "split donations" if you're planing on making some sort of system, anyone who's hungry enough could take the money without anyone noticing.

lol @ the replies to this topic. This just shows exactly where the scene is.

Anyways...The odds are of course against this project..but if people actually TRY (I know...a dirty word) to actually do something and move forward this project might, just might, have a shot...but if people keep complaining about the developers who are on board and misc. people's greed...this won't get anywhere.

I personally couldn't really see Ace becoming the next Hasbro. And I think that there are a lot of things that could be done to make this a success. It would just take big names, and a lot of work.
