hmmmm... makes sense I guess, but honestly I'm tired of all these people getting pissed at people who are "leeching" it happens in EVERY open-source community, when we learn to live and work together and not be angry at those who "leech" and instead continue to provide support and help everyone and release stuff, only then will there be no more drama, but you and I both know that, that will never happen :/ and that is the sad reality of the situation

Walla has been really sick lately and there has been conflict in his home country. He is joining the military soon and wants a few months just to live his life.

I'm personally against leaking their content as its still free to use. Although later on I will probably make some accurate converters(100%).

You're right Cain, they stopped releasing publicity because us at Arc didn't contribute anything.
That's DEFIANTLY the reason, not.
Walla obviously wants $$ else he wouldn't of said that donators get it.

I'm not saying "us" at Arc didn't contribute anything, and you never really know if he is doing it for money or not(Hell he might and it may seem like it, but you'll never know unless your him.) Don't you think he would've just sold the database, tools, etc to people crazy enough to buy it for more than donating 15 dollars,(I'm sure some would pay way more), although then another thought comes to mind, if having people donate to have access is a more effiecent way to get money.(Also providing a cover for the real reason)

Then if it comes to a point where its out-of-control you or anyone for that matter could just leak it to everyone. Really, I don't even see the big deal; its not that hard to convert the table structure to another structure between updates.

P.S: I'm not flaming, just stating my opinion on the matter.
P.S.S: I think mainly supporting WCell is a terrible mistake; its been in the "development" state for atleast a year and I don't like 30? background threads performing tasks for the worldserver with all this other extra-non-needed stuff that slows it down.

I know Walla personally, I don't think he did it for the money. As I stated he has been sick and will be leaving for the military soon. ALSO, he believes it is a one man project and that much territory to keep up to date and Blizzlike is impossible.

On a side note. I would pay $100 for a Blizzlike core, mainly because donations and the investment would pay itself off in a month and exponentially grow.

No reason to fuss. Really someone will come along and pick up the pieces. Or once walla is un sick, and etc he will reopen it for public use for arc and aspire again. This happens through out emulation history alot so it shouldn't be a huge change.

We all knew this was going to happen one day, they should just stick to one core and never change.

I personally find the NCDB team a little arrogant at times, but thats just me.

Now, how can they expect ANY emu to give back? The emulator is a free open source project, the database is a mere addon of some sort, because without the emulator, the database is nothing. Visa Versa, but you need the emulator more lol.

I think they just want money, because they know most of the server noobs choosing to host a server, that decide they want <Insert Arc or Aspire here> with <insert NCDB here> will just fork over however much money Walla decides he wants.
