I would like to see some more confirmation. And besides, people do other illegal things, so private servers will still be around.
I wonder why Blizzard hasn't gone after ExtremeTop100 - it's very obvious it's entirely relying on the income provided by WoW Private Servers.
EDIT: The 'Ip Banning' is either complete bullcrap, or someone at one of the servers was forced to give a list of the IP's used for accounts.

Personally, I have all the confirmation I need to know that the top private servers have been shut down.

But you're absolutely right about Blizz going after ExtremeTop100. You'd think that's a no brainer for the lawyers.

Some places will stay open and test there limits i know that they will. There has to be some people out there that will do anything to keep a server up in fact i know a few people / servers.

I spoke to Aether from Toxic who confirmed the notice.

Also, from my own looksie around the Topsites it seems that the crappy ones are still up.

Another VERY IMPORTANT DISCOVERY is that the servers who had the DISCLAIMER on their sites are still up.

For those creating servers...USE it.

Edit: And, of course they are - if it was a properly legal-proof disclaimer, Blizzard would sue you, and you would win the case because they were not allowed to enter your site. The DMCA policy is currently still one of the lower level legal liabilities (alliteration ftw) and other things - such as Disclaimers and Terms of Use - overpower it.

Hmm well this seems to get me Confused is it normal just for them to Strike? I am pretty sure Blizzard wasn't that Retarded to find out about Private Servers..Why didn't they just send a Note earlier instead of waiting 3years. Honestly I think this is a Lie Rumor but on the other hand I feel like this is True.
