'root'@'localhost' access denied after I take server Live

I got my server off of hamachi, and everything was going smoothly. I restarted my computer and now my access is denied on everything. Logonserver.exe, World.exe, Heidisql, Everything. I tried going back into my mysql config program and changing the password again, when it asks that I enter my current one it denies me access because its wrong. I tried going back and entering ascent, arcemu, root, all the defaults I could think of, no go. Its like theres an entirely new password to this, but I have no idea what it is.

Any ideas at all will get +1rep, I just have no idea what to do here.

If you run vista, you might wanna try to run Logonserver and World as administrator.

You don't seem to understand, its not just logonserver and world.exe that wont allow me access, its everything. I can't even complete the mysql config because of this. There is a whole new password, and I have no idea how it happened or what it is.

I would remove the MySQL instance and reinstall MySQL server.

Then create a new one with new pass etc.

How would I go about reinstallation? Just delete the startbackground.bat and shutdown.bat? Those are the only two programs I'm seeing in my repack folder.

No, you reinstall the actual MySQL server program, you go to Start menu -> All programs -> MySQL -> MySQL Server 5.0/6.0 -> MySQL server instance Config wizard, and remove your instance. Then try to either reinstalling MySQL Server 6.0/5.0 or just creating a new server instance with a new pass.

That would solve your problems with not knowing the password :P

Now this is just getting weird, it just can't seem to apply the security settings when I try to create a new instance. Telling me access denied root@localhost using password: NO.

    :/

    Might try upgrading to 6.0.

Dunno why that is happening, but upgrade to 6.0 and you would be fine.

Delete the MYSQL directory in your program files . Because the passwords save even after uninstall.

So heres what just happened to me... In order:

    I removed MySQL 5.0
    I removed MySQL 6.0
    I rebooted
    I installed MySQL 5.0
I remade the instance, worked perfect.
I go to boot logonserver.exe and world.exe I get this error message "Cannot find Arcemu/Characters database"
I think to myself... oh ****....

The two databases were gone, now does anyone at all have a valid explination for how two pretty damn big DBs just went poof.

I had backups from about 2 weeks ago, but I had done so much with the server its making me want to quit. I'm not going to quit though, because its obvious that something doesn't want me to have a damn good Private Server...

Anyways... I'm just trying to find out why my DBs dissa-****ing-peared. Any ideas? Anyone?

Also I'm back to my old problem before this all started, when I start world.exe it says something about antrix:
This application has failed to start because antrix.exe was not found. Re-installing... blah blah blah

It then continues to start up normally... kind of
I get all the way to my realm, and then I cant log into the realm.
I keeps taking me back to the realmlist.

Seriously a ton of problems here, but the main problem still remains. That is, WTF IS GOING ON?!

This is all started to happen after I took the server live! The errors started, being unable to log into the realm started, MySQL F***ed up!

Could taking it live REALLY do this much damage?!

REALLY wish you had told me that before I followed your directions, but I guess it was the only way to get MySQL to work again... Well guess I have a lot of work to do again... :/
