How do I IP ban on a Ascent server?

I use the command .addip 127.0.0.1 0 (for permentant.)

Nothing happens when I use it, It just tells me what that command does.

I'm a GM on the server not a Admin but It cant just be a admin command because It would have said theres no such thing or I'm not allowed to use it. Please help.

well it depends on what level GM you are and you cant really ban 127.0.0.1 since its the local host for the server

sorry forgot to add in .addipban <address/mask> <duration, 0=perm>

Also if you have database access, one of the colums in the account tables is Banned and you can just put 1

I just put 127.0.0.1 is an example. ok so i do this


.addip 72.544.78.342 0 (just put random numbers)

Also, .ban does the same thing.

yeh but account ban is just banning the account not there ip so they can just get anougher account its simple for them you have to type .
.addipban 5.17.45.2 0 (example) so they cant re make a account but theres not 100% chance that a ip ban will always work since people can get around that now days.

Also if you cant do it just ask someone else to do it for you who`s online and if no one else is online just send a mail to anougher GM or a Admin

ip ban should pop up if you type .commands if it doesnt your not a high enough gm level

try this .addipban

Try this:

.addipban XX.XX.XX.XX/32 5y (5y = time i.e. 500y, 200d, 100h, 0 for perm)

If that doesn't work then try

.addipban XX.XX.XX.XX/24 3h (same as above)
