Do not dismiss MaNGOS yet!

There a lots of users here that do not like Mangos for some reason.

But I running here the more new version and its great for Blizzard like play. I tested Stormwind and Hellfire with Amber's pack that come with a installer that did all the work for me. and look like Mangos got a real nice side script project I tested Stormwind and it did was almost the same like blizzard the npcs did talk yell and so on.

Later I tested outland hellfire and also here was the battle going on next to the dark portal (that was missing complete of the other emus I try). Also the horde town was scripted real blizzard like.

I did try run the black temple and look like it was scripted also the bosses did talk and had blizzard like way of fighting.

Oh and best of all the Midsummer thing that is on the live server is also include here! and all midsummer quests are working!!

So I think for everone that dismiss MaNGOS before that its time to check it out again and use the more updated Amber repack!!

I run a MaNGOS server myself. It runs great, is configured just the way I like it too. If you have not played on a MaNGOS server, check mine out if you like at Silvermoon-UDB-MaNGOS Private Server

I enabled the ability to learn all 10 professions, something I don't think you can do with Ascent. There is also an auction bot. There is a link to the community forum from the home page if you would like to comment. Fee free to do so!

I am considering switching to the new AC-WEB Ascent server. I just downloaded it today and I am testing to see if works out for me and my community.

I very agree with that because for one all it will take is kobold to be used on one of the bigger servers and to show the owners that its more a better core then you can think.


But Mangos well... I'd play on a outdated ascent before even trying to go on a mangos.

Kobold is doing dam nice... and the just opened a Public development section for scripts etc.. so maybe soon they will go open source again
Anyhow closed source or not it is the second best and close to the best emu now...
