mangos scripting

ok so this is like the 3rd post about scripting in mangos... is there a way to make npcs cast spells at all? all my mobs just melee which is lame and boring, id like to make some excitment to my server however i dont know where to start. If anything could anyone just tell me if its possible or not?

Yes, take a look at ScriptDev2's scripts. And it would have to be done in C++.

eh its still way over my head /= got any information on where to start? i did a bit of research and found that i need C++ program to convert these files that i put in my scriptdev folder, is that right? i tryed to convert a file from my scriptdev folder, that i figured was already in and working, which some of them do, but it wouldnt convert it. im clueless to all of this i just want my npcs to cast spells
