[Help] Stuck at Handshaking

everytime i make a private server i get stuck at handshaking, i press escape then i cant connect, then i try again and i get stuck at authentication, and after that a blank screen. Any ideas on how to fix this? I bet its a firewall issue. Btw its an ascent server

Are you sure you're using the correct version of wow?

That could also be the issue. How would i downgrade my wow, or would it just be easier making a 2.4.2 server?

find a repack for yoru first time also check your router if your usine one and check firewalls
