I think it's about time we shut this down.
In other news, paying people thousands of dollars to DDoS us isn't cool xudd, it is absolutely disgusting, and all it will make us do is 1) Buy better mitigation, and 2) proves that you are a cash cow and have that sort of money to go around.

However people really aren't seeing the problem here. It's the Chinese servers that are breeding in this community with the sole purpose of making money. We're talking about $10k a day. Why on earth would anyone want their work going to these idiots so they can get rich. Seriously. I'm sure anyone whos been here since the old days really misses the time when this wasn't all about money.

You guys (NOT all of you, but those who do know who you are) bash Burlex because he won't fix something right away for you guys, but in reality, if he didn;t put his work into this, YOU WOULD HAVE NOTHING.

OpenAscent is quite nice IMO, it has all the same developers as ascent with the exception of burlex

and i personally place the blame on all the people running around thinking they are high and mighty because they managed to read some help files and setup a server.

btw thats just about everyone with a public ascent server for dense pplz
