[MySQL] Need some help :)

Hi guys, this used to happen when I used to create servers before, and today when I tried to create a server it happened again.

Everytime I execute MySQL it fails at "Apply security settings", and it says :

' The security settings could not be applied to the database because the connection has failed with the following error.

Error Nr. 1045
Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password : YES)''


I have tried the search in this forum but the search engine bugged so sorry if this is a repost.

have you already previously got mysql installed on your pc?

yes, very long time ago.

edit : I had it up few hours ago, but I failed somehow, I still use the same password, so I can't c why that can be a problem.
edit 2 : I rebooted my PC twice! it worked now Thank you very much anyway.

go into program files in C: drive and remove the mysql folder then try to re-install it.

I have had this happen before, a good idea is to create another account and give it Full rights with a password. Sometimes MySql gets a little funky and the root password gets funky cache and needs a few reboots to work.
