Ascent: What now?

ascent going closed source is ridiculous beyond belief. their is no point to it, it helps no one and hinders everyone.

not to mention the type of stuff burlex might put in it intended to stop places like toxic wow.

This is stupid, the bottom line of all this crap is trying to be the best server.
Now burlex will try to make his server number 1 by keeping the source. Other servers will have to modify there core or give up because they don't no how to. Not the ascent way. Ascent was intended to be a open source for WoW and modify to make it the best emulator for EVERYONE.

Why can't we go back to the days when there was antrix (Yes I no antrix is ascent) and wowemu. When every one would contrib and help the emulator.

because wow servers have become a business/ goldmine for many people , crappy servers can easily make 20-60$/day with 20 people online , I know mafiaboy used to do it with wowmafia and he didn't have many people online.

Look at aniwow , they bought google ads, each time you click on them it costs aniwow money!

Ascent is dead dead dead. It wil never be open source again.
They said they will release bins.. Welll thanks but Bins are no use. Simple terms it means you cant bug fix, cant custom the server and cant use things like moonscripts..

So what you guys going to change to?
