Logon Error?

Ok, so when i load my control panel and start MySQL it says ready for connections, however when i start Logon, it says "Connectuib failed due to: 'Access denied for user 'root'@l'ocalhost' <using passwoed: YES>

Any help on fixing would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance!

Check your configuration files. Make sure your pass words are the same in the configuration files as on your MYSQL.

ok i KINDA get what ur saying, i know the pw to MySQL, what config r u talking about exactly? like ascent-realm.conf and stuff like that? like check all my .conf and change passwords to what MySQL pw is?

Ascent-world.conf and ascent-logon.conf, change the DB info to your mysql info

ok sweet, got that part working, now when i click "Ascent" from Control Panel its saying,

"connecting to logonserver on '127.0.0.1:8093
Authenticating
Authentication Failed..

err, whats that about? sorry for the newb questions hehe i REALLY appreciate the help from everyone!

What ascent are you running what core version cause i get that to on some core rev's.

um im not exactly sure, i downloaded the latest repack 7.7 i think? I had my server running friend them my friend jacked it all up

AHH HA! Ok i figured it out, i was missing a password in 1 of my configs that i didnt see, thanks a ton for the help everyone!

there is 1 other thing tho if u dont mind, im trying to use ADE, but it says that the database name is wrong, any idea how i find what my database name is?

Go into Heidi or SQLyog or Navicat (whichever you use) and find the name of the place where you put the DB. Like ascent or world, or whatever you named it. And then put that into the name slot in ADE
