Try reinstall it worked for me![]()
Oh, uninstall the old MySQL
And make sure it is installed in C:
When you uninstall MySQL, there are still left over DATA files. This will stop any future installations from proper confugurations.
1. Uninstall MySQL
2. Goto the location it WAS installed in, there is still a MySQL folder; DELETE the folder and all its contents.
3. CTRL+AlT+DEL and stop the mysql process.
4. Reboot comp, and reinstall and configure.

Could you post your current errors?
ctrl+alt+del , then procceses and the end off mysqld-nt.exe, now try agian ... and remember that if you had mysql at your PC before you have to make the last password right !!
What SQL is this, 5? 6?
If you do what I posted above, it will work.
I do not suggest V 6.0, as it has causes lots of issues in the past.
