Ignore Kurosan, he'll just confuse you. You do not have to edit your hosts file AT ALL for others to be able to connect to your server and the ONLY ports you need open for them to be able to connect and enter world is 3724/TCP and 8129/TCP (unless you altered the defaults). Make sure your DynDNS is updating properly, your port forwards are correct, and your server doesnt have any firewall settings preventing inbound connections, because as I said I am unable to ping or connect to your server based on the dns name you gave.

Start > Run > Cmd > Type in : Ipconfig

    IP Address : 192.168.1.XXX , the XXX is the last 3 #'s

Go to, What Is My IP Address? - IP Address Lookup, Info, Speed Test, and more for your ip

the domain name would be like, myserver.no-ip.org

waymirec can you try pinging again?

EDIT: its got to be something with the firewall, I cant think of anything else, I cant figure out how to turn it off so I cant even test it (im using C-O-M-O-D-O firewall not windows firewall)

    Sure. Ok here goes.

    1. Google Hamachi and Download and Install it.

    2. At the bottom right of the Hamachi window click Create Network.

    3. Once you do this you will get an ip.

    4. Go to DynDS at DynDNS: DNS Hosting, Email Delivery and Other Services, register and create a static IP. In the field where it asks for your IP put the IP of your Hamachi Client which is displayed at the top of Hamachi. Then make up a name for your ip.

    5. In your realmlist change it to set realmlist whateveryournameis.servegame(or any of the other subdomains).org/com/net etc.

Then configure all your config files correctly and it should work.

*EDIT* For Your Information, this VPN (Virtual Private Network) is completely safe and bypasses your Firewall to stop all Port Forwarding issues. *EDIT*

    Hope this helps.

Sorry I was not paying attention to all the other posts. No problem with helping.

IF people are trying to connect to your server cause you use it then they will have to also download it and connect your network that you can set a password too.

For a website, I have no idea.

If you have any queries then please contact me at Akenatehm at hotmail dot com (on MSN Messenger) and I would be more then willing to help you with anything that I know.

Its really quite a pain it the butt to try and set it up yourself. Hamachi is so much easier and since it bypasses your routers stupid port forwarding protocols its such a breeze. So I highly recommend it.

    Glad to be of Help.
