I've got some words of wisdom for a somewhat experienced mind when it comes to things such as these.
Humans are based on the pursuit of happiness, regardless of what it is I support Illidan1 in pusuing such things. Whether you've left a community, left friends, or anything of the sort, you've left your impression whether you realize it or not. The computer has always been a good place to be when feeling anti-social unless you're on msn or facebook/myspace...WoW was a scapegoat for many problems in not only my life, but many others that I've known. I'd spend up to 6 hours at a time on this chair during the day, kind of wallowing in my own self-pity. Pity for a soul not motivated to creating something a little more meaningful, though I found WoW to be an essential part of life not even 3 months ago.
Over time you'll come out of your shell, and when people find out who you are, as they did for me, they'll tear you from your shell and home. Everyone wants a piece of someone regardless of their personality, and it just so happens many people are willing to give apart of themselves in return for a sliver of happiness. Illidan1 has redefined how he lives, He has a girlfriend, new obligations, a new way to pursue happiness.
It's funny how something such as WoW, an online game, can create communities such as this and even bring forth relationships between such distant humans. WoW has become so much more, which is why we will actually miss someone such as Illidan1 rather than say: "Another character gone"
I enjoy seeing people in WoW move on with new things in life
