nope... it was exacly the same then... they only updated, updated and updated and ofcourse there is a lot of new stuff and stuff changed.. that is why it is called "update"

I agree with GP, ascent can run for days, weeks.... our server (lowland realms) mostly only goes down for updates lol.

Lol so yea i heard it was copyright, i wonder if we ask burlex if we can use antrix and revive it would he allow us??? I mean come to think of it he doesnt use it, what lives of antrix now is just ascent, and antrix is still not used, so what if we just use it, and have the credits to him no? It wouldnt be copywrite there, and maybe change the name since we cant use the same name.....

When World of WarCraft 2.2.0 was out (or 2.1.3, was ages ago, cant remember), Barulax and his team decided to rename their team to ascent, and use a new, more advanced and blizzlike code.

Why? Because this would bring more blizz looking emu servers. Almost no bugs of the ascent servers are existing anymore.

When I asked my dad if he knew about ascent, it was a whole other thing, I'm wondering why Barulax named it ascent... I'd name it "Knarkfarfar's Gays"

NOTHING changed to antrix/ascent only the name and team a bit ><
Burlex had a fight with one of the main developers becuz he was doing some awfull shit and burlex hates that blablabla he kicked some noobs out of the team (like that main dev) and renamed antrix to ascent and voila we have ascent -.- its 100% the same rofl they did not rewrite the code to be more blizzlike >< (that would not even be possible to do in a few days ><) they only changed the stupid name and kicked some developers and took some new.... You can talk all about crap like they changed code to be more blizzlike all you wnt but you are WRONG cuz they edit code 24/7 to be more blizzlike :drool:
