Pre-BC Server on latest ascent and ncdb! What do you think?

Well, I have recently started working on a new server which will be a Pre-BC server which will actually be hosted on the latest ascent core and latest NCDB database.

I have made the account registration page flag all accounts to be Pre-BC and have set the max level to 60.

I plan on making the server eaither high rate or instant 60 and giving out eaither dungeon set 1 or dungeon set 2. This would bring a big raiding community to the server for the instances Ony/AQ20/AQ40/MC/BWL/Naxx

I would like to hear what everyone has to say about this before I go all out and get another dedicated for this server.

Is there a certain place in the database where I could just easily take them all out fast? Like are all the pre-tbc items before the tbc items in the database list?

Same with all the tbc npcs/creatures?

Could you replace a your current world db with an old repack? that would be the way i would, even though you lose all tbc gear and items. I mean if you had the time i guess you could go through manually.

Actually I think there is a break in the list... Like at one point it just turns into all the tbc items. I could easily just delete all the 25000+(item ids)
I think that would take out all the burning crusade items.

I'd make a back up just in case you delete some things you need/want... i know its a given but just a heads up.

Yea, of course (Copied it in navicat and renamed it to itemsCOMPLETE so I have the normal items with only before tbc stuff and if I need to go back I just goto that copy). The only items I deleted that could be used normally I think were event items and I don't really care about those to much...

Would you still include the outland raids, or just keep Azeroth?

manually i think is the best way as you can have all the creature etc updates for the old mobs, just may take a while

    Manually :\
I would have to go through and check if each one was a BC item. The only items after the 24k mark (id wise) seem to be level 70 items, tbc items, and a whole bunch of random event and junk items that I won't be using.
& when I have to update NCDB again I would have to delete them manually all over... so it wouldn't be a very fun process?

I am going to try this out for now and if there are any problems I guess I can try the manual way.

    Use these:

    Code:
DELETE FROM items WHERE requiredlevel = 61
DELETE FROM items WHERE requiredlevel = 63
DELETE FROM items WHERE requiredlevel = 64
DELETE FROM items WHERE requiredlevel = 65
DELETE FROM items WHERE requiredlevel = 66
DELETE FROM items WHERE requiredlevel = 67
DELETE FROM items WHERE requiredlevel = 68
DELETE FROM items WHERE requiredlevel = 69
DELETE FROM items WHERE requiredlevel = 70
If you need me you have my skype, if you don't have my skype then you don't need me.
