My Network Connections, look in there and make sure Hamachi is enabled!
Make sure they are on your network!
Otherwise, edit: C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
and set your add a new line at the bottom:
127.0.0.1 [Hamachi IP]
Yes! file:///C:/WINDOWS/system32/drivers/etc/hosts
Code:# Copyright (c) 1993-1999 Microsoft Corp. # # This is a sample HOSTS file used by Microsoft TCP/IP for Windows. # # This file contains the mappings of IP addresses to host names. Each # entry should be kept on an individual line. The IP address should # be placed in the first column followed by the corresponding host name. # The IP address and the host name should be separated by at least one # space. # # Additionally, comments (such as these) may be inserted on individual # lines or following the machine name denoted by a '#' symbol. # # For example: # # 102.54.94.97 rhino.acme.com # source server # 38.25.63.10 x.acme.com # x client host 127.0.0.1 localhost 127.0.0.1 [hamachi ip]
This wouldn't help his players, it just binds the hamachi ip to the local ip, so you won't get a lag when connecting to yourself from the DNS :P
Why do people still use this? It only burdens login and repels players.
you mean hamachi? i was under the impression that hamachi is easier for me to set up versus the other way where all other ppl have to do is set their realmlist. is this true? maybe if i set it up the other way people wouldn't have trouble connecting. you guy think it might help?

Not true. Only change is, instead of your DNS you put your hamachi IP, and players must get hamachi to login. You're opening ports anyways ^_-
Right click and disable read-only.
since this thread is failing (no offense to all who helped) PM me your hosts file and what ports you have forwarded
If you need me you have my skype, if you don't have my skype then you don't need me.
pls say then what was wrong because i have same problem that people stuck at connecting...
Open a new post, this one is from 3 months ago, so the error might not be relevant at all
