Confirmation that blizzard DOES scan memory for 3rd Party tools (outside of its own memory), this is my response to an appealed ban.
Greetings! This is XYZ from the Game Master Department.
This action has been taken in accordance with our Terms of Use and our In-game Policies (Rules Regarding In-Game and Forum Conduct - Battle.net Support), which all players acknowledge and agree to prior to playing World of Warcraft. These policies and conditions allow us to maintain a fun and safe game environment for all of our players.
The game client may monitor your computer's RAM and/or CPU processes for unauthorized third party programs running concurrently with the game.
An unauthorized third party program is defined as any third party software (including Addons) that facilitates cheating; intercepts, mines or collects information from the game database; or allows modifying or hacking of the game interface, environment or experience in any way not expressly authorized by Blizzard Entertainment.
Our Battle.net Terms of Use can be found at Blizzard Entertainment: Battle.net Terms of Use. Further information on the different levels of account penalty we can apply is available at
https://battle.net/support/article/200475.
In the case of use of cheating or automation software we don't usually give out warnings first as this is considered one of the most serious violations against the Terms of Use. However, I can see that you were already aware of these rules because one of your other World of Warcraft licenses was already suspended for the use of unapproved software. Although this previous suspension didn't affect your current one as you know suspensions on different game licenses are not accumulative.
As this case has been reviewed by different Specialist agents and all evidences found deemed correct, we now consider this matter closed and would not look to enter into further discussion on the subject. Future appeals regarding this account can be closed without response.
Have a nice day.
