    "rendered objects"

Can someone tell me how to access objects that are rendered?
I mean, for example a tree in the 3D scene, how can I reference it?

    Thanks in advance!

    Ps.
It seems there aren't many C++ projects going but I've seen snippets of people on this forum, so maybe someone wants to share a based "framework"?
I wrote a basic DLL but it's a bit hard if you're new to this to get an idea of all different objects and properties!

What do you want to do with that tree? For objects like a fence or a mailbox you can use any "framework" which implements a "ObjectManager". With this, you can modify all non-static objects.

When it comes to Trees, I believe they are not in the ObjectManager as they are static objects from the "map". Maybe someone other can tell you where they are in memoy, however it's best to tell us what you want to do, because for example simply moving obstacles out of the way won't work because of server-side checks.

    thank you for your time

i know about the "ObjectManager" but it only references a specific range and type of objects
what i'm looking for is a set of objects such as model meshes, but one step up the conceptual ladder
basically what i would like to be able to is move objects around within the scene and/or maybe modify the vertexbuffers for reshaping models, etc

    edit:
maybe i need to hook DrawIndexedPrimitive and parse the buffer? anyone done anything like this?

Read the rules; don't ask blanket questions.

You'll need to understand how mapping works: ADTs, chunks, etc.. Then figure out the M2 and WMO classes and find where they are referenced. Then you'll need to understand what to do with them.

It's completely unrelated to the unit manager.

You can find more info on model management here: WoWDev (a lot of info is outdated).
