Yeah.. that DetourFunc is funky, Get rid of that nasty stuff.
Haha. Yeah, the detour function you were using originally is awful. By using it you're more or less begging for a crash.
It's fine as a quick hack to test something, but it's not at all suitable for anything beyond that. (Even for a quick PoC test though I'd just use Detours etc, it's not like it's hard to compile and use.)
I'm surprised that when C# programs run the GC doesn't simply cause the program to delete itself (because anything written in C# is obviously garbage).
Seriously though, C# is certainly the 'best' (easiest?) language to code in when you're writing Windows apps that aren't performance sensitive. Kinda useless though when you want to do anything low-level, cross-platform, embedded, etc.
