Maybe I am out. I just found that the function : checksum is never be called now.

I remember this function would be used to check the entire .text when logining.

I also notice that warden is now scanning this fuction, so,

does anyone know how checksum works? Is it called by warden?

If you're looking for references to this function via IDA, you're not going to find it whether warden calls it or not. Warden isn't loaded until after login (there isn't actually any of the "warden code" apart from the module handlers until this time) so this isn't going to be in an IDA dump.

so, how they "do checksumming" now? Or they skip it?

The battle.net modules do all checksumming of game components for every blizzard game that uses it (wow and sc2).

I haven't encountered the checksum check in a very long time. I don't think its done anymore. If it is, i think its ignored.
