Well, I guess that would solve my problem then. However, I'm still probably not going to poke into the quest cache structure simply because I'm trying to minimize the number of offsets/amount of native code I'm running these days.

I may look at/reverse it just out of curiousity. Thanks for the info.

I think the cache is one of those things were the reward far outweighs the pain of maintaining the offsets (which should be basically nothing given that its accessed through functions which can easily be picked up in a patch differential).

Actually, I just put a 1 second pulse loop to scan all quests with unfinished objectives, and match the required objects against any nearby gameobjects, and that works swimmingly. My bots automatically "realize" when they're "near" quest objectives, and go pick them up. Kill quests/loot quests were already working fine, since my bots have no problems killing things

No quest cache required, no other quest library required -- all just standard, legal WoW API calls.

The last thing I'm working on is making "use special item" quests work. There are already WoW API calls to do everything I need, I just need to figure out the logic. Shouldn't take more more than one more night of hacking to get all of the "kill mob X then use item Z on them" quests working as well.

No more alt-tabbing to "pick up the sparkly things" -- HUZZAH!

    Thanks!
